Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 31st July 2025 Written Episode Update: Maira Declares Geetanjali as Her Only Mother, Breaking Abhira’s Heart Again

The episode begins with an emotional setback for Abhira as Maira asks her to tie her shoelaces the way Geetanjali used to. Despite trying to connect, Abhira feels distant. Meanwhile, Kiara avoids meeting Abhir, but he insists on staying until she forgives him—fulfilling Charu’s last wish.

Anshuman notices Abhira feeling low and checks in on her. Abhira admits she momentarily lost herself and even considered calling Armaan to take Maira away. But she realizes Armaan is to blame, and now, she wants to patiently win Maira’s love.

During breakfast, the family tries hard to make Maira feel at home. When Abhira offers food, Maira again demands it be like how Geetanjali prepared it. Geetanjali, refusing to eat, says she only wants her daughter back. Dadu reminds her that Maira is not her real daughter. Armaan cooks Maira’s favorite dish, and Geetanjali admits Maira would’ve loved it. Armaan convinces her to eat, saying it’s for Maira.

He later reflects on his mistakes, admitting that Abhira has endured the most—first BPV, then Daksh, and now Maira’s rejection. He vows to support both women but not abandon Geetanjali.

Geetanjali, determined not to sit back, plans to bring Maira home. Meanwhile, Abhira prepares fresh food for Maira. Anshuman, appreciative, takes some of it along as he heads to pick Tanya for her pagphera ceremony.

At the dining table, Maira refuses to eat, claiming the food doesn’t taste like her father’s cooking. Abhira offers to make something else. Vidya explains that, like a new school, new experiences take time to adjust to. Maira says she wants to meet her father and eat from his hands. Vidya gently encourages her to try food made by her mother. Maira harshly responds—“Abhira is not my mother. Geetanjali is. Abhira is just a cute aunty.”

Her words shatter Abhira’s hopes once again.

Elsewhere, Krish is still hurt by Tanya’s words. While he deals with post-wedding bills, staff tell him he now has to handle everything himself.

Armaan sends a parcel to Abhira’s house for Maira. She joyfully opens it, discovering her old belongings. But soon, the box catches fire. Abhira bravely rescues Maira’s toys and tells her she saved everything. Maira only thanks her and runs off with the toys, leaving Abhira heartbroken once again.

Kaveri tells her to apply ointment, but Vidya stops her and takes care of Abhira. She promises to help Maira call Abhira "Mom" someday. But Abhira insists—she won’t force anything. She wants Maira to accept her truly from the heart. Though difficult, Abhira chooses this path and says she’ll need the family’s support for one thing.
